About
Beez is a custom seamstress, costume maker, designer, and puppet maker based in North London. With an interest in both period pattern cutting and queer history, Beez seeks to explore themes of gender and identity in her personal work. Drawing on her range of experience in fashion, costume and puppetry, she is able to approach briefs with a broad knowledge of techniques and materials, and is keen to continue to expand her skillset and undertake new challenges.
Graduating from London College of Fashion in 2021 with a First Class BA (Hons) Costume for Performance, Beez began her work in industry immediately, working as a costume trainee on Netflix’ Sandman (2022), and puppet costume designer and maker on Joe Wright’s Cyrano (2022). Alongside working towards a Masters in Gender Studies from Goldsmiths University of London, Beez has since then gained a variety of making experience, from puppet making with Toby Olié for the Spirited Away play in Tokyo, to working as a seamstress on Sinéad O’Dwyer’s SS22 collection, to a variety of costume-making projects for Madame Tussauds.
Beez is available for booking on set, or working from her studio in North London.
